Refund Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026. This policy explains refunds for Alif Visa service fees and related charges.
Important note on visa decisions
Alif Visa is a private visa assistance company. We do not decide visa outcomes. A refusal, delay or request for additional documents by an embassy or visa centre is not grounds for a refund of government fees, which are paid to third parties and are generally non-refundable once submitted.
Service fees
Our service fee covers preparation, document review and tracking. Refunds depend on how far your application has progressed:
- Before work begins: If you cancel before we start reviewing documents or booking third-party services, you may receive a full refund of our service fee minus any payment processing costs.
- During preparation: If document review or preparation has started but the application has not been submitted to an authority, a partial refund may apply at our discretion, reflecting work completed.
- After submission: Once an application is submitted to a visa centre or authority, our service fee is non-refundable because the core service has been delivered.
Government and third-party fees
Embassy, consulate and visa-centre fees are collected on your behalf and passed to the relevant authority. These fees follow the authority's own refund rules and are usually non-refundable after payment or submission. Optional travel services (flights, hotels, insurance) follow the supplier's cancellation terms shown at purchase.
Duplicate or erroneous charges
If you were charged twice for the same item or charged in error, contact us within 14 days at info@alifvisa.com with your application reference and payment details. Verified errors are refunded in full.
How to request a refund
Email info@alifvisa.com with your application reference (ALF-YYYY-XXXXXX), the reason for your request, and your preferred refund method. We aim to respond within five UK business days and process approved refunds within 14 days to the original payment method where possible.
Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 where they apply to your purchase.
